It’s been fun going back through the old Supporting Friends Friday posts (well, for me, at least; it seems to be a bit of a dud with readers, but Sunday is always a slow day for traffic), but I’m particularly excited for this weekend’s ninth (!) retrospective. It includes three of my favorite Internet friends, all on one compact disc:
- “Supporting Friends Friday: The Sandwhich Press” – The Sandwhich Press (and, yes, it’s spelled with the extra “h,” although the URL for the Telegram page spells “sandwich” the normal way) is the personal property of Australian Coptic Christian Goth Kilts, the inspiration behind Péchés d’âge moyen, my collection of short piano miniatures, which she dubbed a triumph that fully realized the Internet. My, my. One good turn deserves another: get on Telegram, and subscribe to The Sandwhich Press.
- “Supporting Friends Friday: Son of Sonnet’s Poetry Community” – My good buddy and regular poetry contributor Son of Sonnet launched his new Locals page back in March. It’s ten bucks a month for all sorts of poetic goodness.
- “Supporting Friends Friday: Michael Fahey” – writer and mental health carer Michael Fahey is a regular contributor to The Portly Politico, and he and I are currently trading bad movie reviews (or reviews of bad movies—although the reviews my stink, too!) on Mondays. His writing there is quite good, and it’s not all politics and highway codes that he writes about: he wrote a great piece about the appeal of what in America would think of as Hallmark Channel Christmas movies.

Afternoon, Tyler. 🙂
I woke up this morning not listening to the radio as we usually do but playing the old GTA radio channels, including East Los FM and Los Santos Rock Radio. A good way to wake up on a sunny day and they come complete with the very non PC adverts we’re used to in those games.
