Open Mic Adventures XLV: “Skeleton Dance No. 1” – BASS

Okay, admittedly, this week’s edition of Open Mic Adventures is a bit of a cop-out.  Actually, a pretty big one:  it’s the same song as last week’s installment, but on BASS!

As I noted last week, I originally intended “Skeleton Dance No. 1” to be a bass guitar lick, but I adapted it for piano.  Here is the bass version:

And, as always, on YouTube:

Surprisingly, “Skeleton Dance No. 1” has done really well on YouTube, at least relative to my other recent videos.  It’s been viewed a lot, and now the bass version is also performing well as a short.  My Internet friend Goth Kilts, the proprietress of The Sandwhich Press, has made the piano version her ringtone!

I suppose I should get around to writing “Skeleton Dance No. 2,” then, yes?

Happy Listening!

    • It’s been fun, but I haven’t uploaded in a couple of weeks. I need to record some more little piano pieces and the like and put them up there. I’ve been playing around a LOT with some music notation software, and I want to figure out how to convert the playback of those digital scores into videos for YouTube. I think it can be done, I need just need to figure out how.
