Leftovers II Out Now

My third release of the year, Leftovers II, is out today.  It consists of two previously-released tracks; four new pieces “leftover” from other projects; and an eight-minute organ solo I played on a keyboard and recorded using a crummy computer microphone seventeen years ago.

I have two other releases in the pipeline, Four Mages (releasing 2 May 2024) and Advanced Funkification (releasing 7 June 2024).  Four Mages is a collection of fantasy-inspired pieces, and Advanced Funkification is a funk album.  Some of the tracks on Leftovers II were composed while I was working on these other two releases, but they didn’t fit the “vibe” of either, so I decided to put together this collection.

In addition to Bandcamp, you can listen to Leftovers II on most every streaming platform, except for Spotify.  I’ll have full links up this Friday for Bandcamp Friday‘s post (I’m writing this post before the album hits streaming platforms, so I don’t have full links yet), but here are links to the relevant pages; you can navigate to Leftovers II from there:

Again, I’ll have a more complete list of streaming links Friday.

In the meantime, happy listening!

  1. Off topic today.

I don’t know if you and your readers keep an eye on what’s going on across the pond. If you do, you’ll know that Scotland has today put into law its new hate crime bill. It shouldn’t be too hard to find if you’re interested in what it entails but suffice to say, Scotland are bidding to become the West’s first totalitarian country.

I don’t know if the following is an April Fools gag – I rather hope it’s not – but over a dozen complaints were registered when the law became active; against its author, Scotland’s leader Humsa Yousef, for his rather racist speech in the Scottish parliament about white people. It’d be hilarious if the first person prosecuted under this act was the man who created it! 😂

Joking aside, no civilised country should have this as legislation. Any party in the upcoming general election who promises to repeal this law will be a shoe in.

      • Yousaf (Muslim) leads Scotland. Sunak (Sikh) leads England, Gething (from Zambia) leads Wales and Sinn Fein are leading NI. Britain is steadily going to the dogs and as for being a Christian country? Islam will be the largest religion within a decade.

        • And they have the audacity to complain that too many white people are in power. None of these Pakis and Pajeets would hold the positions they do were it not for white people. Indeed, they’d probably still be burning widows on their husbands’ funeral pyres.
