My YouTube channel is growing nicely. At the time of writing, I have seventy-four (74) subscribers. I’d love to see that reach 100 in the next few weeks, so if you haven’t already, mash subscribe.
The arcade cabinet video I featured in the sixth installment of YouTube Roundup has over 1200 views at the time of writing—absolutely astonishing! If you missed it, you can watch it below:
This week I’ve got a Nativity scene; some scribblings; and an eerie clarinet and celesta duet.
Nativity Bricks Build and Review
Back on Epiphany (6 January 2024) I built a Nativity from Nativity Bricks, a company that makes Christian-themed LEGO® knock-offs (I also composed an Epiphany-inspired original piano composition):
If you want to purchase the Nativity Bricks Nativity, you can pick it up on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/48GLDaC
It’s $52 on Amazon, but there’s a promotion to get another Nativity—the Asian or African variants—for free! $26 per set is excellent, and after you build one, Nativity Bricks will mail you a free Moses minifigure!
“Scribblings I: Post-Christmas Concert Scribbling”
Some scribblings I jotted down after my school’s Christmas Concert on Friday, 8 December 2023. I was exhausted, but found scribbling down some brief musical ideas to be rejuvenating.
“Moonstruck”
“Moonstruck” is a brief meditation for clarinet and celesta, although the celesta part could easily be played on piano in a pinch. I conceived of the piece because it features notes that are easy for beginners to play on the clarinet.
I have been learning to play the clarinet, so I wanted to write some literature for it that I would enjoy playing. I hope you do, too!

Well, I guess that’s it; teaching career gone, relationship gone. But who needs all that stuff when you’ve got Arcade PacMan and sustenance! 😂😂😂😂
Seriously, that looks great dude! If we ever get over there, I reckon 99.9% of my time with you will be spent evading ghosts. Tina will have to pry my cold, dead hands away from it! 😂😂

It’s Pacmania at Portly Manor, that’s for sure! My neighbor plays when he comes over to check on Murphy while I am at work. His fourteen-year old dog passed peacefully in her sleep Monday morning, and he reached 10,000 points on Pac-Man that afternoon. He said playing it helped him deal with the grief. Perhaps Pac-Man Therapy can be a good way to cope with loss.
If y’all ever make the trip, you can play Pac-Man and its various permutations to your heart’s content—if not to Tina’s, haha!

Tina loves it too! She’d find my weak points and make sure that she has control of the machine! 😂😂

I’d probably just leave you two lovebirds alone with Pac-Man for the weekend, then. : D
