Today I’m kicking off 31 Days of Halloween, a series on my YouTube channel. Each day in the month of October I’ll offer up a lo-fi, off-the-cuff, rapid-fire, one-minute, hyphen-hyphen, Halloween/horror movie review. These are quick and, therefore, not very comprehensive, but they give my quick impressions of some classic (and not-so-classic) flicks.
I started the series with the subject of my most recent Monday Morning Movie Review, 1983’s Something Wicked This Way Comes:
New Shorts will post each morning in October 2025 at 6 AM EST. If you enjoy them, leave a comment on YouTube (or here!) and share with your friends!
Happy October!

Brilliant mate! 👍
Have you lost weight? Either way, you’re looking pretty healthy.
Tina asks whether you can do a short review of one of her favourite horror movies – The Haunting (1963). I’d like you to do Ju-On 2 – the Japanese Grudge 2. Both are great movies in their own right.

Thanks, man! And, yes, as of last week I’d lost exactly twenty-one (21) pounds since I started cutting back following the week of Independence Day (so about 2.1 pounds a week on average over ten weeks, I think). I’ve been counting calories and cooking more at home, with a focus on healthy proteins and lots of veggies. I’m also eating quite a few eggs. I feel so much better.
Absolutely! I’ll check out both films. Thanks for the recommendations!
If you’re up to do so, consider sharing today’s blog post and/or the video with anyone who might be interested. I’ve gotten the first nine done and in the hopper, and they’ll post each morning at 6 AM EST (about thirty minutes before my daily blog posts pop).
Thanks again, dude!

Congratulations! 👏 Keep on like this and by next year, there’ll be nothing left of you – you’ll be the skeleton on your Spooktacular porch! 😂😂😂
By the way, only a few days. Ghost of Yotei is pre ordered and then we’ll be able to get down to some serious samurai action. Very excited.

Thanks, dude! Just gotta stick to the straight and narrow. I loosen up on the weekends a bit, and Dr. Fiancée and I enjoy our Friday night outing to a local pizzeria, but we’re both working on getting in better shape. She works her tail off on the Peloton; I have yet to incorporate any physical activity beyond my usual running around school.
YES! I know you’re excited for that. Very cool!
