I finally groped my way up to the attic (my ankle is healed enough to allow it now) and pulled down the Christmas tree I purchased a few years ago. It was well past time. I still have a couple of Halloween decorations hanging up—yeesh!
Being one to never let a good thing go to waste, I decided to take some pictures of my tree, as well as make a video showcasing the little guy in all his multicolored glory.
The tree setup is remarkably easy—it’s three pieces, with the stand and lights built-in. I had the whole thing assembled in about five minutes.
I then proceeded to decorate the sucker for about thirty minutes or so. It turns out that I have a lot of ornaments, some of which I didn’t even know I had. I’ve slowly accumulated them over the years from family, friends, and colleagues, and I had way more than I realized.
The latest addition is this ornament of Murphy, a gift from my sweet girlfriend:

I put together a video of the tree, and this thumbnail is priceless:
Finally, here’s a ton of pictures of the tree—and one of Murphy!
Merry Christmas!

Crikey, that’s a little fella! You could do with a Christmas movie montage where you and your other half go and cut down your own tree, putting up a decent sized fir to some holiday music and a sherry or two. That one looks like the tree Christmas forgot! 😂
That said, the tree Tina and I have in the bedroom (we bought a new one for the lounge) is the one we bought together at the very start of our relationship. You can never be too sentimental.
I like the decorations, especially the Abe one which, strangely, doesn’t look out of place at all. Murphy looks pleased at any rate.

Haha, yes, he’s pretty small—but my ceilings are *maybe* eight-feet tall. I can’t go too much bigger!
I’d love to see some pictures of your and Tina’s sentimental bedroom Christmas tree. If that tree could talk….
In case you missed it, here’s the YouTube video tour of the tree: https://youtu.be/lWBS67CiUzQ?si=gneFbe7-E01z5evT

I watched it.
I can take some pictures – Tina’s decorations look particularly marvellous this year – but will have to hope they come out properly; for some reason, outdoor pictures show up fine but indoor pictures can be problematic.
We were hoping to get to one of the Christmas events this year – the Bure Valley Christmas steam trains, the stately home decorative walks, like Blickling, or one of the markets – but it doesn’t look like that will happen. Too much to do before the day.

No worries if the pictures don’t come out great. It sounds like y’all’ve got a lot to do! Godspeed on getting ready for the big day!
