For the past couple of years or so I’ve been treating myself to a LEGO® Star Wars™ Advent Calendar. I enjoy the ritual of building each day’s tiny set, and it’s cool getting some unique builds and minifigs (the name of the little LEGO® people).
I seem to recall the calendars being around $20 on sale. This year, the full-price MSRP was something like $46, which is outrageous, but I got mine on sale for about $33. That’s honestly not terrible for a LEGO® set, which is essentially what this calendar is.
Of course, yours portly never lets anything go to waste, and I’ve turned my calendar into an opportunity to churn out YouTube content. As such, I thought I’d catch everyone up on the first eight days of Advent calendar fun.
Days 1-2
Day 1 yielded Omega, a character from the show Bad Batch, which I have never seen. The Day 2 slot contained the wrong pieces—a very rare LEGO® mistake:
Day 3
Day 3 brought a Naboo starfighter—very cool!
Day 4
Day 4 revealed a festive pit droid, complete with a burlap sack:
Day 5
Day 5’s slot contained a cool tank with treads:
Day 6
Day 6 brought another minifig, this really cool clone trooper:
Day 7
I’m still not sure what this vehicle and/or structure from Day 7 is, but it does fit a minifig nicely:
Day 8
Rounding out the first third of the Advent calendar is this simple battle droid, a classic disposable villain from the prequel trilogy:

The first eight days of the LEGO® Star Wars™ Advent Calendar brought some fun surprises. Even the mistaken pieces from Day 2 add some fun and mystery to the process. I’m still wondering when I will find either the correct pieces for the Day 2 instructions, and/or the correct instructions for the pieces that were stowed in Day 2.

Merry Christmas, and May the Force Be With You!

Very cool, getting actual items to put together. We are doing an Exit(brand) Escape Room calendar. We also gave one to Jacob and Vic. Tonya and I have had to used the clue book a couple of times because we were just flat out stumped.
I am kinda jealous of the Lego bits. I’m hoping we get something as a payoff at the end (hopefully not a discount code to purchase another game).

That sounds like a really fun Advent calendar, Todd! How are Jacob and Vic doing with theirs?
The LEGO builds are a lot of fun. I’ve actually been waking up slightly earlier to do them—and I’m usually excited to get out of bed so I can get to building! It’s also fun seeing what I get each day.
Let me know what you find at the end of your calendar. Here’s hoping it’s not a discount code! : D

J&V are doing better than we are as far as avoiding hints. They do these escape rooms games all the time though. They have a whole shelf of the Unlock! series, including a Star Wars one. These each have 3 different mysteries in them too.

Whoa! It sounds like they are old pros. I’ve never done any of those escape room games, but they sound fun.
