I’m still making my way through the LEGO® Star Wars™ 2023 Advent Calendar. Last Wednesday I detailed the first eight days of goodies—the first third of this fun calendar. Now it’s time for Part II!
If you want to catch up, here’s the full YouTube playlist of every video so far:
But enough preliminaries—let’s get to the LEGOs®!
Days 9 & 10
After a weekend visiting my girlfriend, I had some catching up to do! Day 9 is a Single Trooper Aerial Platform (STAP), and Day 10 was a Hailfire droid (thanks to my neighbors for helping me identify these bad boys after the fact):
I really loved the Hailfire droid—one of my favorites so far!
Day 11
Thanks to Finnish YouTuber Hiikratti, I was able to identify this build as an Armor Assault Tank (AAT). It was a surprisingly challenging little build:
Another super fun set, although I still like the Hailfire droid better—but only by a little.
Day 12
Day 12 is a chunky little reindeer droid! At first I couldn’t figure out why he had outstretched arms, but reason shot through my denseness like antlers through a pickup truck’s windshield:
I also brought in the Santa Claus version of the same chunky little droid from a prior year’s Advent Calendar.
Day 13
This build really impressed me: it’s a Lambda-class shuttle, the very same craft Emperor Palpatine himself used in the original trilogy. I really loved the detail of this build, and I find it amazing how LEGO® packs so much detail into these mini-builds:
Day 14
Day 14 of the LEGO® Star Wars™ 2023 Advent Calendar revealed Queen Amidala of Naboo in her combat fatigues. Or is it Princess Leia? Either way, she’s got a blaster and a cookie, and a scowl that would make Kathleen Kennedy swoon.
Day 15
Day 15 of the LEGO® Star Wars™ 2023 Advent Calendar is a super fun miniature build of the Ewok treehouse village. It makes me hopeful that the Ewok minifig is getting closer!
Day 16
Day 16 of the LEGO® Star Wars™ 2023 Advent Calendar is the most esoteric build yet. I think it’s supposed to be the entrance to the bunker on Endor containing the shield generator for the second Death Star, as seen in 1983’s Return of the Jedi. I really have no idea, though, so leave a comment and let me know if you recognize this build!
There’s just one-third to go! Stay tuned for the rest of my builds—coming soon!
Merry Christmas!
