Regular readers know that I was supposed to be trucking down to Florida this weekend, but an outbreak of The Virus (not on my end, no worries) put a stop to those plans. Instead, I’ll be hanging around South Carolina with my girl, and we’ll do a little leisurely sightseeing.
Still, Florida has been on my mind lately. Thanks to Governor Ron DeSantis, it’s starting to look like a refuge for folks fleeing wokeness, buggery, and all manner of other forms of progressive-endorsed foolishness.
I love South Carolina, but if I had to live anywhere, I think it might be Florida.

Were you going down to see Audre?

I wish! We were going down to see my girlfriend’s family. I mean, that would have been awesome, too, but I’d love to pop in on Audre sometime, too! We’ll be heading that way in November, so maybe then!

By the way, Brian Meredith has written an interesting article on the Elgin Marbles, over at TCW.
I don’t know whether the US has its own problems with Wokery, art and history but we do. If the marbles are returned, I reckon it’ll be because of some cultural vandalism the left have made up.

I will check it out! I have always loved the Elgin Marbles, and find the “controversy” around them fascinating (for what it’s worth, I think y’all should keep them).

One last thing.
I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned this before but Brian did a film on his road trip across America. If you pop onto his article today, ask him about it.

Will do! My girl and I are about to set out on our day of road tripping, but I’ll try to pop in the comments this evening.
